    With the Rockets returning home with a six-game losing streak and a four-game road trip ahead, Rick Adelman tweaked his rotation for the third consecutive game. He played guard Steve Francis for the second time in 14 games this season and the first time in the first quarter. He had 10 points in 20 minutes.

    "It's obvious. We've been struggling," Adelman said. "I'm going to try to look at the situations as things go. Even though every game has been close, that doesn't get you anywhere in this league. You have to win games. Maybe there is another way you can go to be more efficient.

    "I have no hesitation giving Kirk (Snyder) or Steve a chance. At this point, you have to try to some things. Maybe that is going to open it up to make things a little easier for us. But this is an unusual team. The way they push the ball, you better have some speed out there and guys intent on getting back. I've got to keep trying things. If it means playing different people, so be it."
