Rockets Ask Mutombo to Return for Additional Season
火箭希望老木再打一年

HOUSTON  --  Houston Rockets center Dikembe Mutombo told reporters after
practice Wednesday that General Manager Daryl Morey approached him about
returning to the Rockets next season.

老木禮拜三練完球之後，告訴記者說Morey希望他下個球季再為火箭打一年。

Mutombo signed a one-year contract prior to the 2007-2008 season with plans
to retire after. The 41-year former NBA Defensive Player of the Year said
it's something he will take up with his family and didn't rule it out.

老木今年合約只有一年，原本預計打完就退休。這位41歲的前NBA年度最佳防守球員說
他會和家人好好談談，目前不排除再打一年。

"The (Rockets) management approached me," Mutombo said. "I have to think
about it."

「火箭GM找我談過了，」老木說。「我得好好考慮。」

"I have to talk to the wife and kids and see how everybody feels about it and
then I have to talk to Coach (former Georgetown coach John) Thompson."

「我得先告訴我老婆和小孩，看他們覺得怎樣，然後我還要先告訴Thompson教練（前
  Georgetown大學教練）。」

In his first start of the season Tuesday night against Washington Mutombo
played 23 minutes getting six rebounds, blocking four shots, and scoring four
points in a 94-69 Rockets victory.

禮拜二晚上是老木今年第一次先發，23分鐘內6個籃板4個火鍋4分，幫助火箭以94:69大勝
巫師。

"I did ask him to consider playing next year," Morey said in an interview
with FOX 26 Sports. "Any team with Dikembe Mutombo is a better team."

「我的確有問他要不要考慮再打一年，」Morey接受Fox26訪問時說道。

「任何一支有老木的球隊都可以變的更好，家有一老如有一寶。」

"You could not ask for a better backup for Yao Ming. The Rockets and the City
of Houston are extremely lucky to have him as a player and a citizen."

「再也找不到比老木更好的球員來當姚明替補了。火箭和休士頓擁有這位球員和市民真的
  是超級幸福。」

The Rockets announced Tuesday Yao has a stress fracture in his left foot and
is out for the season.

火箭禮拜二宣布姚明因左腳骨折將整季報銷。
