Artest. A 1st Rounder AND a young big and an expiring is a really solid deal.
It would have been nice to have shed KT, but he'll expire in '10 anyway. I'm
pretty happy with this.

You guys didn't improve your SF position that much, sure bringing Battier off
the bench is a nice addition but his minutes will be cut.

It's not like you guys got Carlos Boozer for cheap, which would have improved
your PF position tremendously or a guy like Deron WIlliams to improve your PG
position.

You strengthen up a position that was already strong for y'all, don't act like
it's the Lakers replacing Gasol with Brown at PF.

If Artest wasn't such a headcase, this trade would be as lopsided as the Gasol
trade maybe even worse. Regardless, it's a horrible return for Artest and we
can thank our lucky stars that the Lakers did not have/offer what the Kings
wanted.

As for sacramento, Getting Donte Green and another first is not horrible
compensation for a guy who was going to leave at the end of the season any way
they get financial releif and 2 good young prospects, remeber the Rockets are
another Yao injury and tmac trade away from the lottery, I doubt both will
happen but Artest is too volitle to have that much value, its not a great trade
but an ok trade for sactown

Brooks. Also gotta pray all 3 of them stay healthy.

1) This is good news. Means Artest is not coming to Detroit.

2) No reason for the Rockets to even consider moving Tmac until they see what
he, Artest and Yao can do together. It would be foolish for them to break up
that trio before they even set foot on a court together.

The Rockets are keeping Battier they like the fact that they have two great
perimeter defenders.

i put the rox up there as a tough team, but i dont rate them ahead of us, the
lakers or the spurs

i would say rox 4th with teams like the mavs
