Morey: More Minor Trades Likely
Rockets GM Daryl Morey says nothing new on status of Landry, Mutombo

Rockets general manager Daryl Morey, along with owner Les Alexander and new
acquisition Ron Artest, spoke with the media on Thursday about the Rockets big
move with the Kings.

After the press conference, I got the chance to ask Morey, who is in Beijing,
China for the Olympics, if he thought his wheeling and dealing with other teams
was done for the summer.

"We still have some minor trades likely," said Morey, specifically citing the
Steve Novak trade to the Clippers as an example of the type we could probably
expect (which might make one wonder about Luther Head right about now).

While minor trades were "likely", Morey added the Rockets are always keeping
their ears to the ground.

"Of course we are always looking for bigger things when they come along," said
Morey. "We did not expect an Artest like deal until closer to the
[February '09 trading] deadline."

Morey also added that there was "nothing new" on the free agent status of
Carl Landry and Dikembe Mutombo.

Landry, a restricted free agent, has been holding out for a bigger Rockets
offer while Mutombo recently told Channel 2 in Houston that he's ready to come
back to the Rockets but has not gotten a contract offer.

"I will play basketball if the Rockets give me the offer," said Mutombo. "I
haven't gotten the offer from the Rockets, zero, [not] even a dollar, so I am
unemployed. I have no job."

莫總沒有透露Landry, Mutombo的新消息。

小交易是「可能的」，莫總補充說火箭隊一直在注意各種動向。
「當然，當他們一起來的時候，我們一直在尋求更大的東西，我們並不期望在（09年2月份
）交易截止日前有像阿泰這樣的大交易。」

莫總還補充說道關於洗衣店和老木的簽約情況，沒有新消息。

老木說:"如果火箭給我offer,我就回來打球,但他們沒有,哪怕是零或者1美元.所以我現在
失業中..."
