The latest Rocket to get bitten by the injury bug is point guard Rafer
Alston, who is expected to sit out tonight’s game against the Nuggets
because of a strained left hamstring.
街球王是最新一位受到傷病侵擾的火箭球員。
他左腿筋拉傷，不會出戰對金塊的比賽。

Coach Rick Adelman said he will start Aaron Brooks in Alston’s spot, but
after that he’s not sure what the rotation will be as the Rockets attempt to
match up with Denver’s Chauncey Billups.
愛逗人說他會用小AB先發，
但是他不確定接下來該怎麼輪換陣容來搞定Billups。

“I don’t know,” Adelman said when asked about the point guard rotation. “
I really don’t know. It depends on how the game is going. You could see
Luther (Head) there, you could see Von (Wafer). I don’t know if Von can play
(the point), but you could see him there. You could see Tracy (McGrady)
handling the ball.

McGrady said that he’d be fine with the ball-handling chores.

The 6-8 swingman often assumes the point forward role in the Rockets’
 half-court sets, but McGrady said he would have no problems pushing the ball
in transition.

“Whatever we need right now,” McGrady said. “We really only have one point
guard with Rafer being out, so I could really take on that role. I’ve played

Billups.

“Well, it’s going to be interesting,” said Brooks with a laugh. “He’s a

defense — make his shots harder. It’s not the first All-Star I’ve gone
against. I have to come out there and on the opposite end exploit some of the
mismatches I have out there.”

Shane Battier had a few words of advice for the Texans — get the ball to
Andre Johnson. Often.

Noting Johnson’s huge effort — 11 catches for a career-high 207 yards and
the game’s only touchdown — in the Texans’ 13-12 victory over Tennessee on
Sunday, Battier said getting the ball to No. 80 should be a no-brainer.

“Throw the ball to Andre Johnson on every single play,” Battier said. “It’
s like T.O. (Dallas wide receiver Terrell Owens). If you threw the ball to
Andre Johnson 20 times a game, your chances of winning go up exponentially.

“Throw Andre the ball every time. Even on fourth down, throw him the ball.”

Rockets forward Ron Artest, who has been nursing a sore right ankle,
practiced Monday, but said his availability for tonight’s game against the
Denver Nuggets will be determined today.
在治療右腳踝痠痛的阿泰今天參加練習了，
不過他說他在比賽當天才會決定要不要出戰金塊。

Artest, the Rockets’ third-leading scorer (15.8 points), was on the inactive
list for the two games on their recent road trip to Golden State and the L.A.
Clippers.
阿泰是火箭的第三得分點(15.8分)，
在造訪勇士和快艇的兩場客場中都沒被放進出賽名單。

“We really didn’t do much (Monday), but I’ll know more (today) after
shootaround and before the game,” Artest said. “You definitely want to
play. Always. You always want to play.”

Key matchup: Aaron Brooks vs. Chauncey Billups. With Rafer Alston sitting out
with a hamstring injury, Brooks has to contend with Denver’s All-Star point
guard. In the Nuggets’ 104-94 victory in Denver on Nov. 30, Billups
dominated Rockets guards, finishing with 28 points and 10 assists.

rebounds) is day-to-day with a wrist injury, but is expected to play tonight.
