Rockets coach Rick Adelman would not comment when asked how the Rockets’
trades might impact his desire to return as coach.

"I really don’t want to answer that at this point,” Adelman said Friday. “
There is no reason to. I’m in the same situation these guys (players) are. I
have to do whatever I can to try to see if we can get in the playoff picture.
It’s tough. I lost two guys I really think a lot of and really meant a lot
to us.

“I look at the team today. In 3 1/2 years since I came here, we have only
two guys left, Luis (Scola) and Chuck (Hayes.) That’s not a lot of stability.
 I came to coach Yao (Ming) and Tracy (McGrady) and ended up with Luis and
Chuck. It is kind of amazing those are the only two guys left. I told them,
‘This is the group we have. What are you going to make of it?’ That is the
same approach I have to take.”

Lowry wants Battier back

Kyle Lowry had completed his media session. There were no more questions
asked of him. He had one more point to make, however.

“We need to get Shane (Battier) back next year,” Lowry said after the first
practice since Battier was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. “That’s my
plan. I want him back. He does so much for our team, leadership, everything
we possibly need. I hope he comes back. I hope they bring him back next year.
I want him back. The coaching staff wants him back. I told him I was going to
start something to try to get him back next year.”

「明年我們一定要把八爺搶回來！！」蘿莉在八爺被交易到灰熊後的第一個訪問說到。

「那是我的計畫。我希望八爺能回來火箭。他為了我們的球隊付出這麼多，領導我們，
  帶給我們一切我們需要的。我很希望他能回來。我希望高層明年能把八爺帶回來...
  我真的很希望他回來.....嗚嗚.....教練團們也很希望八爺可以回來。我告訴他，我將
  會作些事情試著讓八爺回火箭。(??)」  


Center Chuck Hayes, who is expected to join Lowry in taking on Battier’s
leadership responsibilities, joined the cause.
“I would love to have Shane back,” Hayes said. He is a free agent this
summer. He keeps his house here. Why not work here, too.”

海爺也來湊一腳，「我也很希望八爺可以回來，」

「他今年夏天就是自由球員，八爺仍然把休士頓的房子留著。何不繼續在這邊打球？」


Lee happy to stay put

Courtney Lee thought he would be with the Chicago Bulls after the trade
deadline, especially when he picked up his cell phone Thursday to find 15
missed calls. Instead, he was happy to remain with the Rockets and relieved
the uncertainty was over.

C.Lee本來以為在交易期限過後他會在公牛打球，尤其是他在禮拜四發現他漏接了15通
電話！而現在他很開心可以繼續當個火箭人，心中的大石頭也終於可以放下。


“It was just people checking to see what was going on,” Lee said. “After
the deadline, hearing about the people we lost was difficult.
“It was crazy. You hear your name in a lot of rumors, a lot of trades. You
see Chicago make a play for you. They added another draft pick to the
equation so I felt like it was going to happen. It says a lot to me. It tells
you you’re valued where you’re at ... and your services are valued by other
teams.”

「這只是其他人打來問問事情到底如何發展啦。」Lee說。

「在交易期限過後，聽到我們球隊裡的其他人被換出去真令人難受。」

Jeffries waived

The Rockets as expected waived forward Jared Jeffries on Friday.
Jeffries had said last week that the Rockets had agreed to waive him if he
was not traded. He would clear waivers in time to sign with another team,
likely returning to the Knicks, on Tuesday.

火箭如預期般地把Jefferies給裁了。JJ上禮拜曾說過火箭已經同意如果沒交易他的話就
會裁掉他。之後他將會和別隻球隊簽約，目前傾向回鍋尼克。
