[外電] Extra work pays off for Rockets'Morris

Marcus Morris' extra work paid off visibly Saturday night against the Thunder.

Morris was coming off a Friday performance where he shot 1-for-7 from
three-point land against the Spurs and finished with seven points. The game
disturbed him so much that, after the Rockets got back from San Antonio, he
went to the Toyota Center and worked on his shot until about 2 a.m. in the
morning.

On Saturday, there was a big difference. Morris was the hottest Rockets
shooter, going 9-for-14 from the field and 4-of-6 from distance, to finish
with a career-high 24 points.

"It helped me a lot," Morris said about the extra practice put in. "I mean,
we were on the road and I didn't have a chance to get that feel back. I just
had a chance to come in here until about 2am and get some shots up."

But of course, with the team's loss, it's not like Morris was overjoyed at
his career-best performance.

"It'd be better if we won," he said. "Anybody someone has a good game, it's
always better if we win the game, you know?"
