The Rockies could promote pitching prospect Tyler Matzek to replace Franklin Morales in the rotation.

Morales holds a 6.03 ERA over 62 2/3 innings this season and is probably bound for the bullpen shortly. Matzek, the 11th overall pick in the 2011 draft, holds a 3.20 ERA with 50 strikeouts over 56 1/3 innings at Triple-a Colorado Springs. He's still walking too many (25), but the lefty probably deserves a shot at this point.
