[新聞] Royals Close To Agreement With Melky Cabrera

Not content with signing just one ex-Brave today, the Royals are on the verge
of adding another, according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports. Morosi reports
that the Royals are nearing an agreement with Melky Cabrera.

Cabrera was released by the Braves following a disappointing 2010 campaign in
which he hit just .255/.317/.354 in 509 plate appearances. The 26-year-old
will be arbitration eligible for the third time in 2011, but as a Super Two,
he will be under team control for one more year after that, through 2012.
