       The Royals announced that they've avoided arbitration with catcher

   Brett Hayes, agreeing to a one-year deal for 2013. Hayes, a TWC Sports

   client, will earn $600K in 2013, Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star

   reports (on Twitter).
