Kirwan extends Italy deal
John Kirwan has extended his contract as coach of the Italian national
side until after the 2007 World Cup.
Kirwan was promoted from assistant coach in 2002 to replace fellow New
Zealander Brad Johnstone at the helm of the Azzurri.
His current deal had been due to expire at the end of June.
But Italian rugby chiefs agreed to an extended term after an impressive
Six Nations campaign, in which Italy defeated Scotland 20-14.
