賽後莎娃的談話也提到今年Jankovic的成功是意料之中的 只是來的慢了些:
"I grew up with Jelena," said Sharapova. "We practised for a couple of years
together. We were always competing in junior tournaments in Florida and we
always had battles when we were young.
"Everyone expected great things from her. Success comes later for some and
she's taken some time to develop. But I think a lot of people knew she was
going to be a great player because she had potential from when she was young.
"Things come together and you just never know when. This has probably been one
of her best years."
