Ana Ivanovic shines at Indian Wells and reveals plans House in desert? Why not Author: Z. Kecman | 18.03.2009 - 10:59 Ana Ivanovic and Fernando Verdasco are off to fine starts in round 3 of the 1000 series Indian Wells event. The tennis public worldwide did not scrutinize the private lives of the two, but rather dealt with what they saw on court. Both Ivanovic and Verdasco were impressive and came to emphatic wins in their respective matches at the combined tennis event. The Serbian starlet is always in the centre of media attention, with even increased focus this year as Ivanovic is the reigning champion and title defender at Indian Wells. She seems to have shrugged off the early-season poor stretch of form as Ivanovic disposed of Gisela Dulko 6-3 6-3, while Verdasco beat France’s Richard Gasquet 6-3 6-2 a few courts away. Ana is basking in the Californian sun and admitted after the match against Dulko she was feeling great and on track to restore her title-winning form. - “I am really excited when it comes to my game as I’ve been training in the past two days better than for a long time,” said Ivanovic. Despite the reassuring performance, Ana is aware things were not absolutely perfect out on the court. Dulko came to a break in the first set to make it 3-2, but Ana bounced back to win the following four games. The Serbian was even more convincing in the second set, which she wrapped up in 76 minutes of play, dropping only five points in the entire set. - “I played really well, so I was happy about all that. What was little disappointing to me today was my serve, particularly from one side. I made quite a few double faults and quite a few miss-hits, which was very surprising because I felt really good practicing out there even today and yesterday. But I ’m really happy to be through so I get chance to improve,” said Ivanovic. In the bottom half of the draw there are no players that could pose a significant threat to Ivanovic. With the exits of Jelena Jankovic and Elena Dementieva, Ana’s route to the latter stages may well be smoothed, but Ivanovic insists her approach to matches does not allow any slacking. - “I’ve had some doubts about my game in the past six months, but now I finally feel like I have clear plan and strategy. That gives me a lot of confidence. Coach Craig Kardon has helped me a lot,” said the No. 5 seed. When she is not playing, Ana says there are plenty of ways she can relax in Indian Wells. - “It’s so relaxing and calming,” Ivanovic said. “You have quite lots of time actually for yourself to relax, to read and to regain your energy. We can notice a big difference between this tournament and the forthcoming one in Miami.” The organization is impeccable here in Indian Wells.” Her ease here even prompted a reporter to ask if she would ever consider buying real estate in the desert. - “You never know,” Ivanovic said, “but I love Australia, so that’s first on my list, and then we’ll see.” http://www.blic.rs/sports.php?id=4081 R3: Ana Ivanovic vs. Gisela Dulko SET 1: www.megaupload.com/?d=HDUGBST2 SET 2: www.megaupload.com/?d=80DLFYU8 -- ┬╮┐┌┌ ˙ ˙╭╮ ┬╮ THE TWILIGHT SAGA │ │││ │ │ ││╮├╮ │ TwilightNew MoonEclipseBreaking Dawn ╰╯╯ ╰╯ STEPHENIE MEYER Knockin' On Heaven's Door - my mind, my life...http://bvisgood.pixnet.net/blog -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.171.169.160
