Peruzzi against salary cut

The proposal made in the past days by the meeting of Serie A and Serie B
presidents about a cut of 30% on the salaries of the players to try to solve
the economical difficulties most of the clubs are facing, let very disappointed
Lazio's goalie Angelo Peruzzi
"It's incredible and I guess nor me nor my colleagues could accept a similar
decision! It's not our fault if presidents agreed contracts they can now hardly
respect due a bad management of their clubs in the past years"
"Players are not here to pay for the faults of someone else, and be sure we are
ready to fight to protect our rights"
Peruzzi also commented the talks about the introduction of a salary-cap in
Lazio
"It's a matter the club prospected the past season, but we explained we could
star talk just once the situation of the missing salaries has been definitely
solved. And since everyone knows things are not ok yet, well, it's not time to
talk"
"However I must admit salary-cap is not an option I like so much" Peruzzi
concluded.
