LAZIO vice president Roberto Pessi says that the club have a number of
options to try and ease their financial worries.
The Roman club are in a precarious financial situation and a number of the
players and directors have not been paid for some time.
Pessi says that there are a number of options on the horizon for them, but
they must choose the right one in order to ensure they are able to play in
Serie A next term.
"Between groups of people and entrepreneurs there are almost four
possibilities," said Pessi.
"If we are able to reduce the salary by ourselves, we would choose the new
owner.
"But there is a risk that there won't be the increase in capital and Lazio
would seriously risk not being able to have enough money for next season's
inscription."
Pessi also spoke about the expectations he has of the players, who must
continue to perform despite the circumstances.
"Lazio's future is also in our players' hands, we are talking with them and
they have shown a big love for the jersey.
"If in a short period we get important signals, it would signify that our
players will have saved the club.
"Otherwise, after last year's case with Fiorentina, there will be Lazio's
one this year and next year maybe another one.
"I stop there because I don't want to think about negative things.
"The moment is really delicate between the team's fortunes and the future
capital improvement."
