Inter land Lazio winger
Internazionale have raided Serie A rivals Lazio to finalise the loan
transfer of winger Aparecido Cesar.
Inter coach Roberto Mancini knows the player well from his time in charge
of the capital club and was eager to complete a deal for the 31-year-old,
despite his initial protestations to the contrary.
Cesar, too, played down talk of a switch but the transfer has now gone
through in time to beat Tuesday's transfer deadline.
The terms of the transfer will see Lazio receive a half share of midfielder
Alberto Quadri as well as the loan of youth team striker Guilherme Siqueira.
Cesar moved to Stadio Olimpico in the summer of 2001 and was a regular under
Mancini during the latter's reign between 2002 and 2004.
The Brazilian is the fourth player to follow in the footsteps of Mancini
after defenders Sinisa Mihaljovic and Giuseppe Favalli and midfielder Dejan
Stankovic made the move north.
