Lazio in line for Adriano? Tuesday 28 August, 2007

Lazio are the latest club to be linked with Adriano, while Inter officially
sign Portuguese midfielder Pelé.
The Brazilian today insisted he had no intention of going out on loan again
– to Parma or anywhere else – and would only leave San Siro in a permanent
transfer.
The latest reports this evening have thrown a new name into the mix, as Lazio
are said to be willing to take Adriano on loan with an option to buy if they
qualify for the Champions League.
The Biancocelesti will learn their fate after tonight’s match at Dinamo
Bucharest, having drawn the first leg 1-1 in Rome.
Meanwhile, Inter have officially signed Portuguese Under-21 international
midfielder Pelé on a five-year contract.
The club announced the formal arrival of the player, whose full name is Vitor
Hugo Gomes Passos, from Vitoria Guimaraes.
Having completed his medical this afternoon, Pelé went straight to the
Appiano Gentile training ground to begin working with his new teammates.
The 20-year-old has penned a contract with Inter until June 30, 2012 and
has been given the number 30 jersey.
When asked about the youngster on Sunday, Coach Roberto Mancini joked on his
famous name.
“If he’s anything like the other Pelé, then we’ve made a great buy,” he
smiled.
The Nerazzurri had also been linked with Barcelona midfielder Deco.
