2. What are some of the qualities of a good parent?
Recently, news concerning the family violence and conflict becomes more
and more, and we find out that there are two najor reasons to explain: one is
due to wrongful parenting method, and another is the effect violent social
atmosphere. We can't change the society in a short time; we can be good
parents in the future, but what are the qualities required for a good parent?
In my opinion, to be a good parent, you have to be patient enough to
listen to your inner voice of your children; a good communication helps
the parent-child relationship a lot. If you lack in patience, violence may
arrive in no time; a quarrel may result in a miserable social event. Secondly,
you have to be smart enough to detect the change of your children; to help
them when they are in hand. Sometimes your children may be not able to
express their thoughts to you honestly--due to the generation gap, but if
you work so hard that they know you sincerely listen to them, they would
like to think you are dependable.
