統計了在以下情況下:
S-1B: A single is hit to the OF with a runner on 1B and 2B unoccupied.
S-2B: A single is hit to the OF with a runner on 2B.
D-1B: A double is hit to the OF with a runner on 1B.
F-3B: An OF fly is caught with a runner on 3B, fewer than 2 outs.
F-2B: An OF fly is caught with a runner on 2B and 3B unoccupied, fewer than
two outs.

三種可能的結果的比例:
Kill:    an assist was recorded by the outfielder
Hold:    the runner did not take the extra base
Advance: the runner took the extra base

然後計算出每個外野手的分佈和平均分佈的比較 再推出對球隊失分的影響
這方法不能說是完美 但也有不錯的參考價值了

照這個方法算出來 2005年靠臂力幫球隊省下最多分數的右外野手是
Francoeur 5.5分(他那年只出賽70場) 多丟最多分數的是右外野手是Brown -5.1分
