Legends head to Cape Town
South Africans will welcome John McEnroe, Boris Becker, Yannich Noah and native
Johan Kriek to the Cape Town Grand Champions three-day round robin tournament
next year. The organisers are hoping to recreate some of the atmosphere and
excitement South Africans have missed out on during the years of isolation.
Tennis promoter, Frank Lichte said: "We try to bring back a little bit of what
you've lost for 40 years. The big atmosphere, the tennis that we love and what
we compare with these names"
The former champions will play at The Cape Town International Convention Centre
which will house approximately 4,000 spectators.
