Old Dreams, New Interpretations- an Artist's Perspective
今年，國際學界紀念佛洛伊德逝世七十週年，議題之一：劃時代的《夢的解析》，究竟如
何改變了這個世界？如果沒有佛洛依德，有沒有超現實主義？現代藝術會長成什麼樣子？
一個特別的角度：佛洛伊德的曾孫女，珍．佛洛伊德，一個倫敦藝術家，來到台北，以自
己對藝術的理解，對潛意識的分析，談自己的曾祖父佛洛伊德，以及夢的心理和藝術的之
間相互滲透。
Today, while the international community celebrates the 70th anniversary of
Sigmund Freud's death, we wonder how the world was changed by the publication
of his masterpiece, The Interpretation of Dreams. Would certain movements in
modern art, such as surrealism, be conceivable without Freud's theories?
Jane McAdam Freud, the great granddaughter of the renowned psychiatrist, will
re-interpret Freud's psychoanalysis through art. She will begin with Freud's
own dreams and their interpretation to discover how art informs psychology
and how psychology informs art.
