這決定滿令人意外的，因為同期有杜拜女網賽，以莎娃
近幾年的參賽規劃，是比較少見的決定。
也許只是想直接留在美國到印地安泉、邁阿密比賽？

Former No. 1 commits to playing in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Maria Sharapova has committed to
playing in the 2010 Cellular South Cup event, and the
former world No. 1 becomes the latest top name to play in
this tournament.
Venus Williams and Lindsay Davenport have played in this
tournament since it relocated from Oklahoma City to Memphis
in 2002.
Sharapova is a 3-time Grand Slam champion. Tournament
officials already have slated her first-round match for
Feb. 15 in her first visit here since 2004.
Her last Grand Slam title was the 2008 Australian Open. A
shoulder injury knocked her out of the top 10 in January,
but she reached the finals at Toronto in August. She
currently is ranked 15th in the world.
