Numbers don't add up for Sixers

Most places you looked inside the 76ers before last night's game against the
Portland Trail Blazers, you could see the potential for real trouble.

Not to mention some key reasons why they were just 7-7.

‧ In the previous two games, the opponents held a combined 37-19advantage on
the offensive glass, allowing them to have 36 more shots.

‧ In six of the last eight games, the opponents had scored at least 100
points, a major contributing factor in the Sixers being ranked No. 28 in

‧ In the previous three games, Andre Iguodala had attempted six, five and six

"The last few days, we've been concentrating on rebounding and playing

we're going to win games, it's obviously going to be on the defensive end, and
we have to do something [in the second halves] to stop people."

There were virtually no problems last night, in part because whatever
resistance the Trail Blazers offered was futile.

Cheeks cautioned. "Sometimes we have to be able to stop some people. When we've
been winning games, that's what we're doing."
