Don't expect any of the rumored deals to happen by this afternoon's trading
deadline, according to 76ers president Billy King.

根據七六人總管老王說：「不要期待任何一個謠言會在交易截止日成真。」

“If I read it in the papers or you wrote it in the papers, it's not happening,
” said King prior to Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers. “I've been
surprised by a lot of things I've heard.”

King confirmed that he has had discussions with numerous teams regarding
Iverson, though he apparently wasn't the one initiating the conversation.

superstars,” King said.

sense.

that people are willing to part with that would make us better.”

With the Sixers believed to be roughly $1 million below the $61.7 million
luxury tax threshold, King doesn't want to take on additional salary unless
it'll put the Sixers among the Eastern Conference's elite.

Had the Hornets not rescinded the trade for Steven Hunter, King would have had
a better chance to make a move because he would be nearly $4 million below the
threshold.

More likely than a big trade this time for the Sixers, who went into
Wednesday's game eighth in the Eastern Conference and with a 25-27 record, is a
minor deal.

“It's very frustrating,” King said. “When you start a season and think you
have something that's going to work and it doesn't, it's frustrating. I'm as
frustrated as our fans are.”
