Metro Feb 4, 2009 Game at glance: Celtics 100, Sixers 99 by Adam Levitan Three things we saw last night: 1. Game Changer: Reggie Evans How does one of the worst shooters in the NBA make the fans chants his name? With hustle. Evans got the Sixers back in the game in the second quarter with steals, rebounds, putback and effort. The fans yelled, "Reggie, Reggie, Reggie ," during a first-half timeout. 2. Benched: Elton Brand Its getting almost too painful to even talk about- let alnog watch. Elton Brand was a complete nonfactor once again, scoring zero points in eight minutes. He didn't play at all in the second half, and now we can officially pose the question: Is Brand a bust? 3. Significance: How do they respond? The Sixers had the game won on an Andre Iguodala jumper with seven second left. And then Ray Allen ripped their hearts out by hitting a 3-pointer with 0.5 seconds on the clock. Losses like this can linger. The Sixers blew a 17-point second-half lead Saturday. Up next: vs Indiana Pacers(19-30) tommorow night at 7. Our take: If Elton Brand is going to break out, maybe he'll do it against one of the smaller teams in the NBA. Injuries: None of note Key stat: Fourth-year swingman Danny Granger is averaging 25.5 points per game this season. Nobody on the Sixers team has ever averaged this much for a season. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 68.45.106.241
