巨型柴電駕到：Jrue Holiday 與 Evan Turner 一次爆發的機會

Obviously, the 2012-13 season is going to be a big one for the
76ers. With Andrew Bynum transforming the makeup of the team,
several players are going to be counted on to have big seasons.

Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner rank at the top of that list.

很明顯的，2012-13 球季對於七六人來說將會是一個意義種大的球季。
當 Bynum 明顯的改變了七六人原有的隊形與特色之後，
有一些球員已經被認為將會有巨大的爆發。

而 Jrue Holiday 與 Evan Turner 將是這個爆發名單當中的排頭。

Holiday, the Sixers’ 22-year-old point guard headed into his
fourth season, and Turner, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2010
draft, are facing crossroads in their young careers. For
Holiday, it’s a contract year and there was a report that
came out at the beginning of the off-season that he was going
to be looking for a max contract.

Turner, after being brought along slowly in his first two NBA
seasons, likely will be a starter for coach Doug Collins this
season. After two inconsistent seasons at the start of his
career, Turner won’t be looking over his shoulder anymore. He
’s going to have the chance to sink or swim.

22歲的Holiday將要進入他的四年級生涯，
2010的榜眼Turner，也將要邁入三年級。

這個球季對 Holiday 來說將是 Rookie scale 的最後一年，
如果他希望能夠拿到一份封頂的重簽價碼，

 而且他必須花很多時間跟著 AI9 學習如何成為一個真正的全能搖擺人)
但是這個球季，在 AI9 離開， Doug 也亮出綠燈的狀況下，
這個球季不只對她本人的意義重大，
七六人也希望看到兩年來對 Turner 的投資所得到的回報。

“It’s going to give him more opportunity. If you look at
last year, we had four guys who wanted to finish games — we
had [Lou Williams] and Evan and Jrue and [Andre Iguodala],”
 Collins said. “Evan is going to take a great step
leadership-wise.”

Collins said Turner is currently in Atlanta working out with
new teammate Kwame Brown and Sixers assistant coach Michael
Curry. But last summer Turner famously worked out with Hall of
Fame coach and shooting guru, Herb Magee, of Philadelphia
University.

Doug:

Collins 還表示 Turner 現在大部分的時間，

費城大學名人堂教練 Herb Magee 的貼身指導。

Turner actually struggled on his midrange shooting game more
during his second season than in his rookie year. On shots
beyond 15 feet, Turner shot just 33 percent. He also seemed to
struggle in back-to-back games, which could be related to his
fitness.

But with the addition of Bynum, Turner will be able to focus
more on shooting and scoring.
After all, Turner averaged 7.5 rebounds per game in the
playoffs. With Bynum, he won’t be needed to rebound as much.

事實上 Turner 去年的投射可能還比新人年更加不穩定。
在 15' 後的投射 Turner 只有 33% 的命中率。
而且他的體能與身形似乎還不夠強悍，以至於在 B2B 的比賽中，
總會有疲勞與乏力的現象。

但是在 Bynum 加入球隊之後，
Turner 的任務將會更級終於他的投射與拿分。
在去年季後賽 Turner 在籃板方面有著吃重的角色(季後賽平均7.5)。
但是當 Bynum 加入之後，他不需要花這麼多精力在卡位上面。
(按: 這也是去年七六人的腳痛，一堆後場球員要花時間搶籃板..
 好處是後場搶到籃板很容易發動三線快攻，壞處就是...得分效率..)

“I think Evan knows what opportunity is there for him,”
 Collins said. “Just think about it -- last year Evan was our
best rebounder. This year he could arguably be our third or
fourth-best rebounder. That would be amazing because with the
big guys on the boards you can get out more and go with it.

"Big men give you a chance to have a running game, they give
you rim protection, they get you to the foul line and they get
you to the paint where the game is won. I think Evan has a
great shot to take another big jump. I know he’s working
very, very hard.”

Doug:
我認為 Turner 知道機會已經為他預備好了，
想像一下，去年 Turner 是我們最好的籃板手，
而今年他可能只是第三或第四好的 (也就是在籃板上的壓力相形減輕)
這將會有著極大的幫助，因為我們可以把這個工作，
正式交還給大個子(當然不只Bynum，還有其他堅強的前場球員們)
進而能夠解放後場球員讓他們去作該做的工作。

大個子球員與他們輸出的籃板將讓你可以有更多Open Court的機會，
他們能夠保護籃框，能夠上罰球線，並且制霸籃下，
對於贏球有一定程度的影響。
我認為Turner 有著絕佳的機會能夠破繭而出，
因為我知道他現在真的非常非常努力的在刻苦訓練。

Turner worked hard last off-season, too. In fact, Collins said
Turner may have come to training camp as the best player on
the team. Still, even with the flashes of brilliance, there
were plenty of stretches where Turner was a non-factor.

This year, Collins is counting on Turner to take a spot in the
starting lineup.

Turner上個暑假也非常非常努力。
事實上，Collins 去年也曾經表示過，
Evan Turner 也許訓練營當中狀況最好的七六人球員。
然而，即便少數時間 Turner 能擦出華麗的火花，

“We look at Andrew, Jrue and Evan as starters,” Collins
said. “Then you have to look at guys like Nick [Young],
[Jason Richardson], and Dorell Wright as guys who will need to
step up and replace a guy like Andre Iguodala. We lost some
key contributors, and we’re going to have to replace them.
That’s what training camp is for.”

Regardless, with the roster overhaul, Turner and Holiday will
be viewed as leaders. That will especially be the case for
Holiday, the team’s point guard, who last year was poised for
a breakout season.

Just like with Turner, Holiday’s stats dipped last year.
Collins, though, suggested that Holiday was a victim of the
compressed, 66-game regular season. With a lack of practice
time, Holiday wasn’t able to iron out a few bad habits he
picked up during the rapid-fire season because the focus was
to get ready to play. However, Holiday’s off-season has been
very productive. He was on the U.S. Select team that worked
out and scrimmaged against the gold-medal winning U.S. Olympic
team during its training camp in Las Vegas.

就像是 Turner 一樣，Jrue 去年在數字上有些下挫。
然而 Collins 認為 Holiday 是一個縮水球季的犧牲者。

While working out in Vegas, Holiday caught the eye of U.S.
assistant coach, Chris Collins, the son of the Sixers’ coach,
and the pair worked on different facets of the game. Notably,
the younger Collins told Holiday that he had to become more
vocal on the floor and, as the point guard, steer the ship.
With Bynum anchored to the low block and the offense likely to
flow from there, the pressure will be on Holiday to facilitate
and distribute the ball.

當他在 UNLV 投入訓練時，

And of course there will be practice. Last season Collins
lamented the dearth of practice time, but this year, with no
lockout, the Sixers likely will get together for some
impromptu workouts in a couple of weeks.

但是今天已經不是 Lockout Year 了，
七六人的隊員們將會花上很多個禮拜去作足練習。

“We’re going to get some guys in here after Labor Day and
get them working together to get to know one another,”
 Collins said. “The guys coming back we’re really going to
count on being leaders for us — we have Evan and Jrue and
Thad and Spencer. I really want them to be vocal about how we
do things. We’re going to hit the ground running, but it’s
going to be different. Last year we came back and we knew
everybody and got off to a great start. Every day at practice
is going to be important for us.”

Doug:
在勞動節(9/3)之後我們將會把所有的人集合，
並且開始進行訓練並且使彼此更熟悉。
當大家回來時我們將會想辦法找出我們的領袖們，
我們有著舊人 Evan, Jrue, Thad, Spence可以幫助大家進入狀況。
我需要這些老朋友告訴大家七六人是怎麼比賽的，
我們必須保持我們 open court 的打法，
但是情況將會跟去年全然不同。
去年我們一回來就知道要幹麼，而且的確打出了很不錯得開場，
今年我們更依賴每一天的練習時間，這對我們來說至關重要。


In the meantime, it’s going to be a big year for Holiday and
Turner as the backcourt mates come to the first crossroads of
their careers.

在這個情況下，
後場雙少 Jrue and Turner 將必須獨自面對他們生涯的十字路口。
舞台已經預備，只待真豪俠揮灑千秋。

總之 Turner 跟 Jrue 在 Doug Collins 心目中的定位很明顯了：

1) Jrue 成為一個能獨立指揮並領導球隊的 PG

2) Turner 成為一個真正的得分手
