The 76ers didn’t have to look very far to find their new
general manager. He has been with the club all along.
七六人不需要再來花多餘的時間去找GM人選了，因為人選明明就在自家。

In fact, there are very few jobs with the Sixers that Tony
DiLeo has not held. On Friday he added another title to the
resume when he was picked to be the next GM of the team,
according to sources. An official announcement about the
promotion will come as early as Friday.
事實上，在七六人的組織中，沒有什麼領域是Tony DiLeo沒有碰過的。
就在這個安祥的星期五早上，他的履歷表又多了一行：消息來源表示，
他即將成為七六人的新GM。官方將會在今日(美東時間)正式對外宣佈相
關消息。
DiLeo, from Cinniminson, N.J. and La Salle University, joined
the Sixers in 1990 as a member of the basketball operations
staff. Since then he has been the director of scouting,
assistant coach, director of player personnel, head coach, and
since 2003, senior vice president and assistant general
manager.
跟Drew一樣，來自下澤西的DiLeo，畢業於拉賽爾大學；自從1990年起
他就投入了七六人組織中負責籃球相關事務至今。他曾任球探部門總監、
助理教練、球員發展計畫總監、總教練；而自從2003迄今，他的主要職
稱一直都沒有換過：籃球事務資深副總裁兼助理總管，包括他2009年臨
時兼任總教練時都仍保有此關鍵職務。
DiLeo will continue to work with president of basketball
operations, Rod Thorn, who announced when he signed a
three-year deal with the Sixers that he would help chose his
successor before stepping into a part-time advisory role. In
the meantime, DiLeo’s transition into Thorn’s seat should be
smooth.
當然，Rod Thorn雖然離開GM職務，但要到今年合約結束後才會卸下所
有行政職務，包括他目前還保留的籃球事務總裁一職；在本季結束後，
根據他的合約，他將轉任資深組織顧問，協助業務順利轉移給Tony。
The latest report from Yahoo! indicates that the Sixers were
interested in Nuggets’ general manager Masai Ujiri, though an
offer was never proffered. The Sixers also discussed the GM
gig with former Portland assistant GM, Tom Penn, as well as
ex-Hornets GM, Jeff Bowers, assistant Celtics GM, Mike
Zarren, and Rockets assistant general manager Sam Hinkie.
Yahoo的Woj曾經爆料說七六人之前曾經開出高薪追逐現任金塊GM Masai
Ujiri。七六人之前根據報導還曾經跟前任拓荒者助理GM Tom Penn、曾
任黃蜂GM的Jeff Bowers、現任綠軍助理GM的Mike Zarren以及現任火箭
助理GM Sam Hinkie面試過，但後來都決定放棄。
Of course, none of those former candidates understand the
inner workings and the history of the 76ers more than DiLeo.
In fact, DiLeo had a role in putting together the current
Sixers’ roster, including the deal that brought aboard
All-Star center Andrew Bynum and veteran sharp shooter, Jason
Richardson.
當然，跟那些外來競爭者不一樣，Tony DiLeo深諳七六人內部組織的工
作狀況，以及七六人的隊史。事實上，這幾年的行政工作，甚至是今年
的Roster大風吹當中，Tony都出力甚大，尤其是協助處理四方交易引進
Drew跟Richardson這筆，他也協助團隊完成此艱鉅任務。

him finally getting some league wide recognition the last few
years (All-star, All-NBA defense, Team USA). As much as he's
