Spanish teenager Rafael Nadal made an impressive debut at the French
Open with victory over Lars Burgsmuller in the first round on Monday.
The in-form 18-year-old came through 6-1 7-6 (7-4) 6-1 in his first
ever match at Roland Garros.
Elsewhere, Carlos Moya started slowly but beat Alberto Martin 5-7 6-1
6-4 6-2, and 16th seed Radek Stepanek beat Paradorn Srichaphan 3-6 6-3
6-1 6-1.
Top seed Roger Federer and Tim Henman are among those in action on Monday.
