to end the Hornets' magical run in New Orleans.

Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinal series was not about dominating
third-quarter runs and early blowouts by the team with the home-court
advantage. It was about the narrow escape of a franchise that has had so much
success - and the near miss of a young team that promises to stay in
contention in the Western Conference for the foreseeable future.

The Spurs won the final game of their series with the Hornets 91-82 on Monday
night, advancing to the Western Conference finals and a matchup with the Los
Angeles Lakers. A sellout crowd of 18,235 watched as the most successful
season in the history of the Hornets ended with a Game 7 defeat against the
NBA's defending champions.

Before Monday night, the series had taken on a distinctive pattern - the home
team had won the first six games by an average margin of 18.2 points. For two
teams that were 56-26 during the regular season and 5-5 against each other
this season, with identical 4-1 records at home, each individual game of the
series has been noticeably one-sided.

But even before one of the Western Conference semifinals reached Game 7, the
Hornets had accomplished quite a task: building a deeper fan base. Toward the
end of the regular season, games at the New Orleans Arena became sure
sellouts, and the Hornets continued to generate interest by running through
the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs.

1.) You wouldn't think the Hornets would fall prey to something so simple,
but the Spurs put this game on ice by begging Chris Paul to give the ball up
in the fourth quarter ... and he obliged them. Jannero Pargo's wild shooting
and questionable decision-making were exactly the things the Spurs wanted to
take their chances with ... even though they nearly brought the Hornets all
the way back (to within 83-80 with a minute left).

It was just the sort of savvy thing this team has been expected to deliver
all series: More "veteran" plays from an "experienced" playoff squad. The
smart thing to do would be to take your chances defensively with a backup
point guard, not the MVP runner-up, and the Spurs did just that.

Paul will learn from this ... if any situation begs for assertiveness on his
part, it's the fourth quarter of Game 7. If the Hornets are to advance to
even greater heights, he'll have to stop deferring in such critical spots.
Here's guessing he learned that painful lesson tonight.

2.) The Hornets didn't shoot the ball well, and the Hornets lost.

We analysts often make too much of things and try to find hidden meanings and
secret truths. Sometimes the game is as simple as whether a team put the ball
in the hoop at a better rate than its opponent. Tonight San Antonio shot 12
of 28 (.429) from three-point range. The Hornets shot 4 of 17 (.235). That,
more than anything, was the difference.

Sometimes I don't know how they do it. But they just do. The Spurs defeated
the Hornets in the deciding Game 7 in New Orleans, and now move on to the
Western Conference Finals to take on the Los Angeles Lakers. This was a total
team effort from the defending champions, as everyone made great
contributions in order to pick up the victory. Despite a late surge by the
Hornets, the Spurs controlled the game the entire way, and looked like a
championship caliber team. Although the Spurs advanced, you gotta give a lot
of credit to the Hornets for what was an outstanding season. Chris Paul
emerged as not only one of the best point guards in the game, but one of the
best players in the league.

As mentioned, several players stepped up big for the Spurs. Maybe not
points-wise, but in other ways as well. Ime Udoka had some key plays early in
the first half that helped the Spurs push the lead out a little bit. Michael
Finley hit some big three point shots, as did Robert Horry, which was no
surprise at all for that guy. Say what you want about him throwing out cheap
shots, but when big shots are needed, you need to look no further than Mr.
Horry. But what really was the game changer for the Spurs was the rebounding.
They absolutely dominated the boards from the very beginning, and although
they did allow four offensive rebounds to the Hornets late which allowed them
to cut the game to three, they were solid the rest of the way in the
rebounding category. This was the backbreaker for the Hornets, as there were
just so many instances in the game where they could only get one shot at the

當然不能露了威爾史密斯這個天才演員

雖然  老大這場易如往常的被大亨堡  但是他總是能把球分給其他小鬼

這  究是馬刺能有四座冠軍的原因


不要擔心   我們要相信馬刺    BEAT LA!

畢竟雙二一的對決  才是令人神往的啊~~~~~耶思
