The Spurs' success over the years has been built on defense. That makes
Monday's 78-76 loss at Oklahoma City even more surprising.

San Antonio had a 41-game winning streak in games when holding the opponent
to 78 points or less, going back to 2005. The Spurs also lost for the first
time this season when their foe shot less that 40 percent. Oklahoma City shot
36 percent.

The culprit ended up being on the offensive end, as turnovers and poor
shooting did San Antonio in.

missing our shots. We missed our foul shots, turned the ball over and just
had a really bad night on offense I think."

"Players have got to know you care about them," McHale said, "but yet every
