Coming back from a 3-1 series deficit can be daunting. Only eight teams in
NBA history have done it before.

The Spurs’ long journey back into the series begins with a single step:
winning Game 5.

The Spurs leaned too heavily on Tony Parker and Tim Duncan in a 99-90 loss in
Game 4. Each played 41 minutes, and they scored 68 points. The rest of the
team had 22, and shot 6 of 28 from the field.

limit the Spurs’ role players and force Duncan and Parker to score enough to
beat them. It will be up to the Spurs’ other players to make the most of the
few opportunities that arise.
