Spurs Notebook: Jefferson says he's best alongside Ginobili

MIAMI — When it comes down to it, Richard Jefferson doesn't care if he
starts or comes off the bench for the Spurs.
時已至今，Richard Jefferson不在乎他在馬刺是先發或是板凳了。
His only request of coach Gregg Popovich: As much time alongside Manu
Ginobili as possible, please.
他只求波波一件事: 讓他儘可能地與Manu一起並肩作戰，拜託!
“I think Pop is still trying to find that magic, to get everybody on the
same page,” Jefferson said before Monday's practice at AmericanAirlines
Arena. “Playing with Manu definitely helps.”

It is no coincidence that Jefferson's best seasons came in New Jersey with
Jason Kidd setting him up. He hopes to create a reasonable facsimile with
Ginobili, the closest player to Kidd the Spurs have on their roster.
在籃網時期與Jason Kidd一起打球，讓Jefferson打出名號絕非巧合。他期待與馬刺

Jefferson, who has struggled for much of his inaugural season with the Spurs,
moved to the bench beginning with a Feb. 17 win at Indiana, in part to
partner with Ginobili.

When Ginobili moved to the starting lineup in the wake of Tony Parker's
injury two weeks ago, Jefferson soon followed.

In two games since rejoining Ginobili in the lineup, Jefferson has averaged
18.5 points and nine rebounds. In the two previous games, with Ginobili a

At his core, Jefferson is a finisher, adept at attacking seams. In order to
be effective, he needs a talented passer to find him.

Ginobili, averaging a career-best 4.8 assists, fits the bill. Jefferson also

and 4.9 rebounds. Before, he was averaging 13.4 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5
rebounds.
