The thought of most people inside the San Antonio Spurs organization is that
Mike Budenholzer is the team’s coach in waiting.

Nothing official has been designated like the deal that Will Muschamp has at
Texas. But most believe that Budenholzer will be taking over the team when
Gregg Popovich finally decides to head for the New England hills and become a
full-time vintner one of these days.

Friday night, the budding assistant appears to have an extremely bright
future.

Even facing a daunting 15-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter, the
Spurs never wavered. They played vintage defense like the Spurs used to,
limiting Minnesota to 15 points and 21.1 percent shooting in the fourth
quarter as the Timberwolves didn’t make a field goal in the final 4:13 of
the game.

when trailing heading into the fourth quarter this season. It was the largest
deficit at the start of the fourth quarter since the Spurs came back from a
17-point deficit to start the fourth quarter on Jan. 21, 2005, when the Spurs
trailed Phoenix. San Antonio came back to win that game in overtime, 128-123
從防守做起的逆轉勝。在過去的歷史，馬刺在第四節落後最多分的一次且拿下勝利是在
2005年1月21號對上太陽，那場第四節開始仍落後17分，最終馬刺卻以128-123拿下勝利。
