Kevin O'Connor Promoted, Jazz To Search For GM

The Jazz is searching for a general manager, as Kevin O'Connor has been
promoted to the top executive position with the franchise.

O'Connor is in charge of the search.

爵士目前正在尋找新的GM，因為原來擔任此職務的Kevin O'Connor已經晉升更高階的
職務。而接任人選的工作仍將由O'Connor負責。

O'Connor has been overseeing the basketball operations for the Jazz for 14
seasons since arriving in 1999.

O'Connor從1999加入爵士以來，已經負責球隊的運作長達14個球季。

Troy Weaver had been the top candidate for the job, but he will remain with
the Thunder.

在這幾位候選人中，雷霆的Troy Weaver原先呼聲最高，但他最後仍選擇留在雷霆。

David Griffin, currently assistant general manager for the Cavaliers,
discussed the position but is no longer under consideration.

騎士隊助理總管David Griffin曾經跟爵士討論過，但他也已經不再考慮範圍中。

Dennis Lindsey, a former GM with the Rockets and currently with the Spurs, is
the "strong leader to be hired," according to league sources.

至於聯盟內部謠傳目前最有可能接棒的人，則是曾經待過火箭，目前已跳槽到馬刺的
Dennis Lindsey。

馬刺：怎麼又要挖我們的人？

心得：O'Connor在"後馬史時代"爵士的重建，的確有一定的功勞，
但他到後來讓爵士背負沈重的薪資壓力，卻也讓他飽受批評，
希望新接任者可以改善老歐的這個缺失。
