Kawhi Leonard:  我想變成一名NBA全明星和MVP


Kawhi Leonard在加州莫雷諾谷的訓練營中向參加的年輕球員表示：

“I want the kids to know that it’s not a myth that somebody from their city
plays and wins in the NBA,” said Leonard, who helped Riverside King High to
consecutive CIF-Southern Section titles in 2008 and ‘09. “I just want to
influence them to work hard and do whatever they want to do in life, whether
it’s to be a basketball player or scientist … if they believe in themselves
they can do anything.

我希望孩子們了解從他們的家鄉進入NBA且贏得比賽並不是個迷思。我只想要影響他們
去努力奮鬥並做生命中想做的事情，不論是籃球球員或是科學家...如果他們相信自己
，他們就能成功。

“That’s why I have this camp.”

這就是為何我辦了這個營隊。

“I guess I’m a competitor,” said Leonard, who noted that winning
championships is what motivates him to work hard and grow as a player. “I
didn’t … come to the NBA for the glamor, I just wanted to help my family
and help myself.

我猜我是一名競爭者。我並不是因為魅力而進入NBA，我只想要幫助我的家人和我自己。

“I just wanted to do something I love; I’m not out here to be a famous
athlete.”

我只想要去做我喜愛的事情；我並不是為了成名而來。

“I want to to be an (NBA) all-star and MVP of the regular season,” said
Leonard. “I’m trying to be one of the greatest players so whatever level
that consists of is where I want to take my game.”

我想變成一名全明星和賽季MVP。我正嘗試要成為最偉大的球員之一，所以我想要主宰
任何水平的比賽。
