GOMTV accepts ESF president position, reveals 10 ESF visions

GOMTV announced on Friday KST that its parent company Gretech will become the
president of eSports Federation (ESF), ThisisGame.com reported. ESF is a
joint gaming organization consists of Startale, LG-IM, MVP, Prime, TSL, NSHS,
and FXOpen.

ESF has been operating under its own management with cooperations of coaches
and managers of each team. However, coaches were having difficulties with
managing both their teams and the organization, hence they have asked GOMTV
to participate in the organization several times in past interviews and
discussions.

Related personnel in the GOMTV esports division commented, "For quite some
time, we were cautious on direct participatory even when they were requesting
us to become the president of the organization. We now think that it is a
right time to be more active to protect interests of teams and players."
Through GOM's acceptance of the presidency, it is expected for ESF to
increase its role and activities.

GOMTV will start its operation as ESF president by creating ESF operations
office, thus streamlining every outer operation of the teams into ESF office.

Gretech's CEO Mr. In Sik Bae, who became the new president of ESF, expressed
his endeavor, "We will do our best to expand not only Korea but the eSports
of the world, by pushing the growth of eSports, which was made by efforts of
current professional gaming teams. Just as GSL has been promoting its motto
to become an open tournament, with ESF we will create an organization that is
a pleasure to cooperate with."

Consequently, GOMTV revealed 10 visions for basis of its future operations in
ESF. They are as follows:

1. Structured operations of ESF

Provide professionalism seminars for both players and coaches, strengthening
regulations, and managing reward/punishment committee to prevent unnecessary
conflicts

2. Incorporation of ESF

Incorporation to become a more structured and authoritive organization

3. Registering and managing database for teams and players

Creating a system to register and manage players and teams for the benefit of
members


4. Providing stable environment for team management

Finding new sponsors and profitable opportunities for managing progaming teams

5. Expanding social opportunities for fans

Planning fan meetings, event matches and popularity awards to shorten the gap
between fans and players, thus expanding eSports altogether

6. Improving matches and spectator environments

Providing a way to improve players' and spectators' experience

7. Developing and supporting various games

Expanding eSports scene through new tournaments and leagues with new games


8. Initiating cooperation with KeSPA

Initiate cross matches, year-end king of kings matches, all-star matches, and
ultimately trying for unified team leagues in Korea

9. Be open to foreign teams and players

Allow not only domestic, but also foreign teams to participate into ESF, to
protect them from their rights and schedules as well as developing global
eSports simultaneously

10. Cooperation with foreign tournament organizers

Exceeding the limitation of regions; providing opportunities for ESF players
to participate in various tournaments, and promote interchange between
domestic and foreign players

Meanwhile, the inauguration for the ESF president and related press
conference are planned to be held in early December, after the end of the GSL
Season 5 finals.

建立出一些新的規章和讓體系更加完整，讓選手權益更加完善等等

還有就是有提出會跟KeSPA合作

聯手推出戰隊聯賽拉，明星賽等等的

會讓國外隊伍有機會加入ESF(華義衝吧!)

也會多跟國外比賽合作
