Star Wars: The Magic of Myth Until July 7th 2002 With all the hype accompanying George Lucas's latest, “Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones”, some lucky museum was destined to host this exhibition. The Brooklyn Museum of Art is the last stop for this travelling tour of Star Wars hoopla. On view are the original costumes, props and artwork used to create the Star Wars movie trilogy, as well as the disappointing “Episode I: The Phantom Menace”. Don't expect much in the way of thoughtful analysis here. Rather, immerse yourself in a world of Yoda and Chewbacca models, and get an eye-full of Princess Leia's harem costume. But be prepared to wrestle with devout fans (some young, many alarmingly old) if you want to get a closer look at the model of C-3PO on display. The Brooklyn Museum of Art, 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY. Tel: +1 (718) 638-5000. For more information, visit the museum's website.
