經過多次的奔走 謝主任終於找了一份資料如下：
All forms of diplegia, tetraplegia, and paraplegia can occur either
symmetrically or asymmetrically. Since in neurology the term "paralysis" or
the suffix "-plegia" is employed for cases of complete paralysis while an
incomplete paralysis is named "paresis."
至於大家關切的 motor 跟sensory defect 該用哪一個單字表示

Paralysis, or Palsy: This is loss of muscular power due to some disorder of
the nervous system. Weakness, rather than total movement loss, is sometimes

結論:
paresis是 incomplete paralysis (輕癱)
-plegia 是 complete paralysis
兩者只是程度上的不同
paralysis 是常用於 motor dysfunction, 有時伴隨 sensory loss
