Read the passage.
In 1936, a set of artifacts were found near Baghdad, Iraq, which both amazed
people and caused a lot of speculations. Some people believed that these 130mm
clay jars were ancient batteries, perhaps some of the earliest known batteries
in the history of the world. However, upon looking at the evidence from a
closer view, we discover that the proposals backing up the battery hypothesis
are flawed. There are several reasons why these could not have been batteries.
