2.的意思跟你的想法不一樣耶
2. To provide an example of an improvement 改良的裝置
that resulted directly from the invention of the astrolabe
因為有了星座盤的發明
這句話是說這個改良的裝置是有了星座盤之後的(直接)產物
(請注意英文的 directly 在中文翻譯中部明顯)
這樣想 應該是裝有星座盤的XXX, 才會合乎句子的意思
您所想的是這個裝置用來補足星座盤的不足
與2.的意思不同
