[題目] confirmed與certified有什麼不一樣 ?

題目：The results of the study_____the hypothesis that had been proposed
      by researchers at the National Medical Institue.
     (a)confirmed
     (b)submitted
     (c)certified
     (d)depended

疑問：答案是a,但我選c,這個研究結果"證實"了 NMI研究員的假設,我查了certify也有
證實證明的意思,為什麼答案一定要用confirm呢???
