我這邊有不一樣的看法
我先說結論 這是插入句(其特色是前後一定有逗號)的用法 而不是分詞構句
先大概討論兩者區別
※插入句 (若是放在句尾有人則會改稱作"補述用法"&也有點像是"同位語")
ex0-1: Mr. Lin will not come here.
ex0-2: Mr. Lin, who* died yesterday, will not come here.
ex0-3: Mr. Lin, a great teacher living in Taipei, will not come here.
ex0-4: I saw Mr. Lin, a great teacher living in Taipei.
ex0-5: Mr. Lin, since last year, has taught me many skills.
※分詞構句要遵守三個步驟
1. 相同主詞省去 (有連接詞亦劃掉)
2. 有關係代名詞省略 沒有就跳過步驟二(倘若有[am][are][is]...則改[being]也可省略)
3. 動詞改為分詞化(意即改為ed或ing, 視主被動而定)
ex1: The thief was seen by the police, so the thief got shot immediately.
基於上述的三個步驟
1. 先省去相同主詞[the thief] 跟 [and]
2. [was]改成[being]亦可省略
3. 留下過去分詞[seen] *因為是被看見所以要用過去分詞 反之亦然
所以ex1可以簡化為ex2↓
ex2: Seen by the police, the thief got shot immediately.

然而若是照s大的說法 主詞是problems 那原句則會從
Problems with the company's old database system, __since__ replaced,
caused some loss of customer data.
變成
Problems with the company's old database system, since problems with..replaced,
caused some loss of customer data.
所以翻譯會變成主詞[問題...]被更換
照s大的說法 翻譯會變成→公司舊系統資料庫的問題,問題被更換,導致客戶資料流失
明顯不符合文意。
所以我認為這是"插入句"的用法
若是將整句簡化 拿掉插入句(since replaced)以及介係詞片語(with the company's...)
就會看到真正的句子結構(請注意以下各句文法結構還是正確無誤)↓
ex3: Problems caused some loss of customer data.
接著補回去介係詞片語(with the company's...)↓
ex4: Problems with the company's old database system
caused some loss of customer data.
最後再加上"插入句"(since replaced)↓
ex5: Problems with the company's old database system, since replaced,
caused some loss of customer data.
這就是"插入句"的用法

由於先前提到ex0-5的關係 ex5同時也可以改寫成ex6
ex6: Problems with the company's old database system,
caused some loss of customer data since replaced.
然而ex6又等於ex7↓
ex7: Problems with the company's old database system,

was replaced.
然而ex7又等於ex8 ↓
ex8: Since the company's old database system was replaced,
problems with the company's old database system
caused some loss of customer data.
翻譯: "自從"更換新系統之後，公司的舊資料庫系統產生一些問題
，導致一些客戶資料遺失。
雖然跟分詞構句長的很像但是不完全一樣 但是用法 完 全 不 同
以上純粹是我學的粗淺概念 有錯的話請多多指教
ps: CAUSED 前面我會加HAS 如果是我平常寫的話啦...XD
