想請問板上的大家 幫我解釋一下

可能有點簡單 但我文法比較弱>"<

1. You can't see the trees grow,and you can't feel the earth spin ,but both
events are taking place at this moment while you and I "__" speaking.

__填寫be動詞 為什麼是填are 而非am....

我記得如果有兩個主詞的話, be動詞是跟著最靠近的那一個不是嗎? @@

如果不是 是在哪個情況下才會如此呢 謝謝

→ solomon999  :至於為什麼我不知道 整句念下來沒看選項直覺就是ARE
