no one 不能被「of + 人」修飾，not 可以用在 a/an 前，表示強調意味。？？

例子：No(→Not) one of them knew how to handle it.
      他們之中沒人知道怎樣去掌控它。

疑問：所以 no 在這用法是錯誤的，只能用 not 強調嗎？不強調的話那此例句會是
      什麼樣子？None of them knew how to handle it??
