I am afraid I might have made a mistake in correcting yesterday exercise on
sentence combining: relative clauses and participial constructions. (One of
you told me so; and I am terribly sorry that I don't remember what I
corrected on the board.)
Anyway, the correct answer to Q10 should be:
"The conclusion (which is) presented in that book states that most of the
automobiles (which are) produced by American industry have some defect."
