11/29 A Stroll on Caoling Trail
It was four o'clock in the morning, yet I remained awake. Not because
I wasn't tired but because a trip was scheduled on this very morning.So,
even if I stayed up because of the computer games, I couldn't go to bed for
fear that I might oversleep.
Today, our class was having a trip to Caoling Historic Trail, located
on the Northeast Coast. The outing was kind of an assignment required by a
Chinese course taken by "the rest of the class". That's it, I didn't take that
course; however, I decided to go with the classmates, simply hanging out
with them and visiting an attraction I've never been before.
In the later morning at 7:15, some of the classmates gathered in the
neighborhood of Taipei Railway Station for an early breakfast. Having finished
our breakfast, we took an 8:25 train, overwhelmingly crowded, to Fulong.
Finally, after a tiring train ride, we were at Fulong Station. As soon
as I got off the train, I noticed that there was a vendor selling Fulong
lunch boxes on the platform. You know that foods always catch my eyes first,
so I bought one right away at a price of NT 60 each. To my great
disappointment, I found there were many stores selling lunch boxes right near
the exit of the station, with every of them NT 5 cheaper. The only thing that
cheered me up was that Sean bought the same expensive lunch box as I did...lol
