The relationship of language and culture
這個是我一邊看一邊自己整理的東西，給各位純參考一下
像是第一章一開始的部份，三個大項的記憶是必須的(小考也出現過)
再來可能要留意一下各項的內容，以及細節、例子等等吧 -.-

- Language EXPRESSES cultural reality
。words people utter refer to common experience

。people not only express but CREATE experience through language
by giving meaning to it through the medium (phone, face-to-face,
letter, email, newspaper, graph, chart...etc)
。the way in which people use the medium(spoken, written, visual)
creates understandable meanings to the group they belong to
。through verbal/non-verbal aspects (tone of voice, accent, conversational
style, gestures, facial expression), the way in which people use the
medium creates understandable meanings to the group they belong to
- Language SYMBOLIZES cultural reality
。language is a system of sign seen to have a cultural value
。through language usage, speakers identify themselves and others,
viewing the language as a symbol of the social identity
。prohibition of the language use → rejection of the social group
and culture
