Essay Question: The Book of First Samuel describes the transition
in Israel from the period of the judges to the monarchy. According
to The Story Bible, why do you think that God allowed people in
Israel to have a king? Judging from the kings God chose, what do
you think are God's criteria in choosing the king? Who do you
think really owned the sovereignty? The king or God? Why?

Satan permission to inflict suffering on Job? What did Job's
friends say to him? Do you think what God did to Job conforms to
the image of God presented in the Old Testament？Why or Why not?
