<最強中華女網隊 挑戰聯邦盃>

在領隊、格蘭英語董事長蘇起銓與傳奇女將王思婷帶領下，由詹詠然、張凱貞、謝淑薇、
莊佳容組成的史上最強中華女網隊，昨天出征前往馬來西亞吉隆坡，角逐2010聯邦盃亞大
區第一級賽。台灣四后有志一同：拚上世界組。
以第1次當上聯邦盃國手的張凱貞為例，她所聘請的黑人教練布朗、老爸張金來都隨行，
就可了解她們對於這項只有榮譽沒有個人職業積分的大賽重視程度；網協理事長葉政彥亦
一清早就來到機場授旗與送機。
今年亞大區第一級賽事有中華、日本、烏茲別克、紐西蘭、泰國、印尼、南韓與哈薩克競
逐，爭取唯一一張世界組門票。
中華網協分析，日本、泰國、哈薩克是中華隊的主要對手。日本隊擁有2008年復出、世界
排名來到69的日本老將伊達公子與世界83的森田步美；泰國擁有日前闖進澳網女單第2輪
的老將坦娜蘇甘；哈薩克則是重金挖來世界排名第51的俄羅斯高手西維杜娃。

THE Japanese would like to think they have a date with the Fed Cup World
Group II playoffs. But Japan, though powered by Kimiko Date, will first have
to reckon with Thailand, led by Tamarine Tanasugarn and Chan Yung Jan-led
Taiwan .
Japan, Thailand and Taiwan are among the top contenders in the Asia/Oceania
Zone Group I and II competition, which starts tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur.
日本.泰國與台灣是冠軍角逐隊伍之一，比賽將於明天開打
Tamarine, the highest ranked player in Southeast Asia at World No 87, expects
the competition to be tough while World No 100 Yung Jan, singled out Japan as
the team to beat in the event.
東南亞排名最高(87)的女將Tamarine預料將會面臨硬戰
而100名的詠然點名日本為頭號勁敵
Tamarine, who fell in the second round of last week's Australian Open, said
the Fed Cup is special to her as she helped Thailand to remain in the World
Group II in 2005.
"However, injuries stopped me from featuring for the team in 2006. Age is
catching up and I hope to make amends here by helping my team get an
opportunity to play in the World Group play-offs here," said Tamarine, who
won two gold medals in last December's Laos Sea Games, at the National Tennis
Centre (NTC) yesterday.
Last year, Thailand defeated Indonesia 3-0 to finish third in the
Asia/Oceania Group I. Tamarine, who has won three WTA Tour titles, will turn
33 in May but the player has no plans to retire.

隊中擁有三座WTA冠軍的Tamarine即將在五月滿33歲，不過目前仍無退休打算
Tamarine is also using this tournament to gauge herself ahead of this month's
WTA Tour's Pattaya Open and Malaysian Open.
Tamarine也藉著這次聯邦杯，為本月的Pattaya與馬來西亞巡迴賽試水溫
Yung Jan hopes to make a memorable comeback after missing last year's edition
because of injuries. Taiwan are expected to be contenders for the title with
her inclusion.
詠然期許自己有個漂亮的復出，揮別去年因傷而缺席的大半賽事
有了詠然的加入，台灣被看好成為問鼎冠軍的隊伍之一
Yung Jan is expected to play singles and also doubles with regular partner
Chuang Chia Jung. The duo reached the women's doubles final in the 2007
Australian and US Opens.
詠然除了打單打，也很可能在雙打與老搭檔佳容出賽，
這對組合在07年澳網及美網都闖進了決賽
Taiwan, who featured in the World Group II playoffs in 1999 and 2007,
defeated India 3-0 in a relegation play-off to finish seventh in last year's
zone group event.
台灣在1999及2007年分別闖進WG2的決定賽，並在去年亞大一級以三比零擊敗印度
獲得第七名
The teams in Group 1 are Japan, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, New Zealand, Thailand,
Indonesia, South Korea and Kazakhstan. The tournament draw will be done today.
