明年ATP將取消室內地毯場地

There will be no more events held on carpet on the ATP tour next year, ATP
spokesperson Kris Dent tells L'Equipe. Dent said the decision to remove
carpet was agreed to by the Top 50 and done to help reduce the risk of
injury caused by frequent switches of surface. Next year's indoor events
will all be held on hardcourts.

However, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Mario Ancic said they were against the
change because it would lead to a slowing down of conditions and discourage
attacking play. "We're going to play tennis where the most important thing
is having four lungs, not a variety of strokes," said Tsonga.

明年將不會有任何賽事在地毯場地舉行，
ATP發言人告訴法國國家報說，這個決定有經過前50名的選手同意，
是為了減少球員的受傷，明年的室內賽會改在硬地上舉行。

但是，Ancic跟Tsonga卻表示他們對這決定持反對立場，
原因是這會減慢場地速度，而且對於有攻擊性的打法不利。

Tsonga說，以後打網球重要的會是要有4個肺，而不是擊球的變化。


然後，我看ATP網站上的資料，今年也只有Lyon是室內地毯，
(這個網頁http://www.atptennis.com/3/en/tournaments/fullcalendar/)

其他都已經改成室內硬地(Paris大師賽跟年終大師賽也是)，
這樣是說，ATP最後一位在室內地毯場地獲得冠軍的是Soderling耶!!!

→ curran:原來地毯比硬地更快，我一直以為是相反的。

→ cebeway:的 自己的經驗在這場地上平擊強球不會彈太高 落地後會加速
→ cebeway:軟趴趴的小球彈地後感覺軌跡很小
